The real meat of the macro is in the For. Without this code, the macro would leave the insertion point collapsed in the first cell of the original selection. Then the selection is stored in a variable so that it can be selected (again) at the end of the macro. If not, then the user is informed, and the macro is ended. The macro starts by checking to make sure that the selection includes some cells. For instance, you might want to copy something to the Clipboard, and then paste the contents of the Clipboard to each cell in a table. As you are working with tables in Word, you may want to fill the various cells in a table with a set value.
